Egyptian models and a visit from Year 1

Year 1 came to visit us today to look at our amazing River Nile landscape models. It was a fantastic opportunity for Year 3 to share all they had learnt during our Ancient Egyptian topic.

In our new literacy unit, we are using The Dragon Kite by Kenneth Steven to inspire our writing.

Describing the dragon is an important part of our story.  How would you describe the dragon?

Visit to Manchester Museum

Year 3 have been on a trip to Manchester Museum to see the Egyptian artifacts and mummies.  They really enjoyed handling the ancient artifacts and meeting the museum’s mummy!

Discovering Tutankhamen’s Tomb

Year 3 were out in our fantastic grounds this week learning about the treasures of Tutankhamen.  They practiced their fronted adverbials of place by describing where the treasure were hidden in the grounds.
